Photography Challenge Week 7 || Snow

I can't really help but venture out to the lake near our house. It's so convenient...even if work is cancelled because of the icy roads. So, when it snowed and sleeted last week, of course I had to trek down there with Caleb. It was cold, but I got prettier pictures than if I just stayed around the apartment complex.

What's in a name? That which we call a rose // by any other name would smell as sweet

Caleb was a sweet guy and sent me some flowers this week. They've been opening up over the past few days, and, well, guess what I took pictures of.

Obviously I was enamored with the multi-colored rose, so it got a lot of its own portraits.

Photography Challenge Week 5 || Prep for RFC Event...

Well, I didn't really get a chance to take a lot of photos this week. Some of the days were absolutely beautiful, and I took advantage of those days by going out for walks and runs at the lake rather than toting around my camera. However, this weekend I worked on a project with my camera, except, it was along the veins of "Miley Bop" (see #5).

So, given that context, here is what I can show you from the coming "Bieber Bop."

If you think we look like major low-lifes, then we did it right.

Photography Challenge Week 4 || New Lens

A while ago I got a new lens--the 50 mm f/1.8 (which means it doesn't zoom and it can be used to make the background look very blurry in case you were wondering.)

The other day we went to the lake (of course) and I thought I'd really practice with the new lens. I even taught myself how to take those cool pictures of water moving, though I didn't have a tripod so it didn't really work quite as well as I intend for it to in the future!
