Photography Challenge Week 34 || Selfie

I'm sorry. I was lazy this week. We'll just have to settle for a selfie at the lake following a picnic!

In case you were wondering, we had burgers and zucchini bread! I might have to revamp fRecipe fRiday and share the recipe!

Photography Challenge Week 33 || If You Just Look

Most nights when we don't know what to do around our apartment, we end up deciding to go walk around somewhere (typically, the lake.) Sometimes we enjoy the scenery, sometimes we bring my camera and take pictures, and sometimes we see spiders that we look up on google and determine that they are a venomous species out of Australia, but that's neither here nor there...

Immediately after stepping out of our apartment door, we saw this big guy. It was nice and cooperative, and made sure I got its good side.

Walking around the lake is a soothing experience. We manage to find a new place, or a new animal, every time. All you have to do is keep your eyes open.

What I'm trying to say is appreciate the under-appreciated beauty. Look for things that aren't calling for your attention. Those are the things that are the most beautiful.

Photograpy Challenge Week 32 || Farmer's Market

Look at me go! I'm early this week! Well, earlier than how late I normally am.

Saturday morning Caleb and I had some time to kill, so we went to the Fayetteville Farmer's Market. I love walking around all the flowers and smelling fresh vegetables and homemade soaps. And, of course, seeing all the dogs that people bring!

A lovely bunch of hydrangeas.

I'm very partial to Arsaga's, even though I don't drink coffee.

A installment for a local campaign to end discrimination.

Photography Challenge Week 31 || Family

This isn't from my my own camera; it's from my mom's when my parents came up for a visit, and yet it is a photo I took, so I'm going to put it on here. Because it is adorable.

Well, that was a quick photography challenge post. See you next week then!

Photography Challenge Week 30 || Anniversary

We had a nice little weekend getaway to Branson for our first anniversary! Caleb kept calling it the honeymoon so that's what we're going to call our anniversaries from now on. I like it.

We had a wonderful time seeing hundreds of butterflies at the Butterfly Palace, eating at nice restaurants, (and a Subway, which is nice to us also) walking around town, and shopping just enough to make it really easy to fall asleep at night in a plush hotel bed!

We didn't even go here but I really like the Beatles so we stopped.
Fire and water show outside of our window.
Three butterflies, one branch!
Beautiful birds in the butterfly house?
