Photography Challenge Weeks 23, 24 & 25 || Camp

There are few things I love as much as summer, and few summer things I love as much as Audubon Camp (also known as Halberg Ecology Camp.) For 11 years of my life (two as a camper and 9 as a worker) I've been going there, along with my dad, my "brother," and other amazing staff.

This year my job was to take photos both weeks of camp and create slideshows for the parents and campers to watch at the end of the week. (It was the perfect job for me, right?)

So, to round up three weeks worth of photo challenge, here are my favorite photos from the Saturday before camp and both weeks of camp.

This is my aforementioned "brother" Mitchell, featured in my FAVORITE PHOTO EVER.
It was cool and rainy one week, hot and sticky the next. I loved it.

Photography Challenge Week 22 || Different Culture

Everyone needs to experience a different culture every now and then, even if you don't leave the country to get that experience. For me, that experience is Red Earth, in Oklahoma City. My family has gone there for many years, and after a few years of not being able to go, we finally got to go back, and I got to take Caleb for the first time!

It was a lot different than it used to be, but that didn't stop me from enjoying the beautiful attire and jewelry!

Here are maybe 2% of the photos I took this weekend!

That beadwork.

The jingle dress

Fancy shawl. I always wanted to dance this when I was growing up. My dad even got me a shawl for Christmas one year.

Men's fancy dance. My FAVORITE. They used to do flips and cartwheels and all sorts of jumps.

Photography Challenge Week 21 || Exploring

Over the weekend, Caleb and I had to go to Conway for one of my various summer camp meetings. Instead of just going for a two-hour meeting, we decided to go a day early and explore the area. Our first (and main) stop was Woolly Hollow State Park. There, the rain had slowed down enough that we got to paddle-boat around the lake, have a picnic, and then go for a short hike! It was just as pretty as we had hoped.

I gotta give credit where it is due, Caleb took the first photo. He's the best photo assistant. :)
